Experience Equine Facilitated Psychotherapy in the heart of Fairview, NC.

I am a graduate of The HERD Institute®, which focuses on Human-Equine Relational Development, a model that emphasizes authentic connection, mutual respect, and the healing power of co-regulation between horse and human. My approach blends evidence-based psychotherapy with the unique relational wisdom of horses, offering a safe, nonjudgmental space for individuals to discover new ways of being, both with themselves and in relationship to others.

Offered In person, this trauma-informed therapeutic approach is for children, adolescents or adults who would like to improve mindfulness and develop new coping strategies for navigating relationship complexities. Equine facilitated psychotherapy sessions are held at Project HNG horse barn. Individual sessions are typically an hour. No prior horse experience is necessary and no horseback riding is involved. Sessions may include observing, petting, grooming, leading, or simply sharing space with horses.

Heartsong is a Tennessee Walker horse and my partner for Equine Facilitated Psychotherapy. He is part of a 40-plus herd n Fairview NC and a beloved member of Project HNG, a registered 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization. Heartsong is an all around popular horse with children, adolescents and adults for his beauty, intelligence and easy going and goofy manner. He is happiest spending time in the stables, or out in the pasture eating grass and hay.
